Homily #080505 ( 13min) Play - During the nine days between the ascension and the coming of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost the Disciples all gather around Mary and pray and so make the first Novena. They pray in anticipation of the Spirit. Fr. explains the central role of Mary at both Pentecost (where the body of Christ, the Church, is formed) and the Annunciation (Where Jesus the head of the Church is formed). He then relates this to the need for fidelity among believers and refers to aberrations at Catholic Relief Services and threats to Home Schooling and forcing Catholic organizations to hire Homosexuals.
