Why a Whole Section for Vlog Technology

We think that TV is the key media to help explain and spread Catholic Doctrine and Marian devotion in a way that is popular, clear and quick enough to match the fast paced, confusing world of today. We further see that all TV is moving to the Internet and this is because all the financial barriers to starting TV have all but disappeared with the high capacity internet and, at least?on the face of it, the technology is very accessable.? However, to actually use this technology and do it well?is rather difficult and making the process of filming, editing, publishing and managing the website all work effortlessly and routinely is not so easy.? So as we have developed the work flow we have learned much and figure that there are many others out there who could use this information and since we are writing down all this info for the sake of getting all?our friaries going with internet video, we thought it would be a good idea to post it all on the internet.? And thus we started the Friar Tech vlog about vlogging.

The goal of the technology section is thus in line with the goal of the general Air Maria initiative, to spread devotion to Mary, but in this case to help other like minded people join in on a concerted effort of monumental importance.

Please keep coming to Friar Tech to learn how to vlog along with us and give us lots of feed back of good resources and tips that you have discovered and trick and to help us out in the many instances when we get stuck ourselves. Christianizing the web will have to be a community effort including the task of developing the techniques to do it best. And, most of all, put this knowledge into action by vlogging for the Immaculate, in the words of St. Maximillian Kolbe, master of high tech marian apostolates, “All for the Immaculate”
